Does Your Industry Use Extruded Plastics?
During the extrusion process plastic is extruded (pushed) through dies to create a desired shape. Often extrusions are created to a unique specification that is often dependent on what the product is going to be used for. Plastic is commonly extruded into tubing, channels, u channels, pipes and various other profiles. Here we take a look at a selection of industries that often use plastic and some examples of industry specific extrusions:
- Agricultural – feeding troughs
- Construction – pipes and guttering
- Medical – drip tubes
- Household goods – curtain rails
- Electrical – cable insulation
- Packaging – containers
- Retail – shelves and racks
- Leisure – fishing rods
