Does Your Industry Use Extruded Plastics?

Plastic extrusion machinery

During the extrusion process plastic is extruded (pushed) through dies to create a desired shape. Often extrusions are created to a unique specification that is often dependent on what the product is going to be used for. Plastic is commonly extruded into tubing, channels, u channels, pipes and various other profiles. Here we take a look at a selection of industries that often use plastic and some examples of industry specific extrusions:

  • Agricultural – feeding troughs
  • Construction – pipes and guttering
  • Medical – drip tubes
  • Household goods – curtain rails
  • Electrical – cable insulation
  • Packaging – containers
  • Retail – shelves and racks
  • Leisure – fishing rods
